After Inspection Both units needed USB Ports, One Needed a DC Barrel Jack, and One has a Fault. đ looks like I get to investigate. Both are at Firmware V1.19 also.

When I get time I will look in to it and publish the fix. Sadly no schematics from Cami Research so I will need to make the time for in-depth diagnostics and possible a reverse engineering session. There is No Fault when self test is done on the first bank of 64 so the Issue must be in Bank 65-128.
I did reach out to Cami Research they Don’t support The Right to Repair, No Repair Manuals, Schematics, Bill of Materials (Not really needed its on silkscreen), Error / Diagnostic Code Descriptions, or Calibration Tools for return to service after repair, With enough persistence the Cami Research CEO Christopher E. Strangio Provided me with the plain English translation/description of the Error Code Above. Solution To Replace a TPIC6A595N in row B column 10.
March 21th 2025 When i was ordering from mouser i noticed that Mouser finally replenished their stock of TPIC6A595N so I Ordered a Tube of them. Since this seems to be a common fault in these I ordered a entire tube of 20pcs just in case I stumble across any more of them with errors. Yes, I could have order them form China and had them a long time ago, but the savings was not significant and I did not want to risk getting counterfeit chips and them not working so it was wait on the known source.
I removed TPIC6A595N at Location B 10
I replaced the TPIC6A595N
Additionally I replace the USB Port and The Power Connector’s.
The CEO still dont get it that they need to comply with right to repair and thinks that Right to Repair is only about automobiles LOL. Christopher E. Strangio said the quiet part out loud He stated, the primary reasons for denial seem to be that the products are “old” and that he doesnât want people repairing used units and reselling them, as it could impact new sales. I am sure when he gets the attorney general compliance letter like Hakko did he will find out he must comply and that anti repair attitude/statement may be costly.
Maybe one day Cami Research will willingly embrace and support the Right to Repair, and provide Repair Manuals, Schematics, Bill of Materials, Service / Error Code Descriptions and Calibration Tools for return to service on fair and reasonable terms. But I have a feeling it will have to be forced upon them by one of the right to repair states the Attorney Generals. I really hate having to go that far, but so be it! As a content creator I am weighing another issue with Cami Research weather I want to make it public or not!
I Have Reassembles this Cami Research M3U cable tester and it works. The Unit Passes the self test’s the Chip at B-10 was the issue. Now I wish i could cheek and verify calibration after the repair but cami research will not provide that info or software on reasonable terms per right to repair.

No Schematics, No Bill Of Material, No Service / Error Code Description, No Calibration Tools For After Repair Calibration, CEO Said He Don’t want shops or customers repairing Second Hand Units! Reason why Not a “F” is when given an error code told what part failed but it took a lot to get that.
