I now offer regular mail-in repair services for Pajero MR195407 and MR195408 Transmission Control Units (TCU), also known as transmission controllers. I am Based in Vancouver, WA, USA, I’ve successfully repaired nearly 100 of these units over the past two years. Below are just a few from August and September 2024.
My standard service is for factory-sealed plastic transmission controllers. The repair fee is $250 USD, with an additional $15 for shipping within the USA. The TCU must be factory-sealed to qualify for this service.
Standard turnaround time is approximately 10-12 business days from the day I receive the TCU, though I may be able to complete it sooner depending on the workload.
At my discretion, I may accept transmission controllers that have been cut open, though each will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. The process begins with you sending detailed photos of the unit. If the opened TCU shows minimal damage, such as accessible bonding wire issues, there will be an additional bench fee starting at $75. However, if the unit is beyond economical repair due to extensive bonding wire damage, damaged PCBs with chips or cracks, a $75 assessment fee will apply, and the unit will be returned.

Notice: I am finding that some Naturally aspirated units have the bonding wires that are not welded but they are glued with a type of conductive adhesive, The adhesive on these will fail these units will require extra work. If this issue is present on your unit I will inform you generally this will be a no fix as it is to labor intensive to redo all the bonding wires. I am working on a solution.
