Repairing the Daihatsu 89530-87507 TCU: Common Failure in the Daihatsu Hijet S110V
The Daihatsu 89530-87507 Transmission Control Units (TCUs) are commonly found in the Daihatsu Hijet S110V and share similar failure patterns with the Mitsubishi Pajero MR195407 and MR195408 TCUs.
I frequently repair these type of TCU’s and can help bring them back to working condition. However, there are a few important requirements:
- Sealed Units: The TCU must be fully sealed, with no damage to connectors or dents in the metal casing.
- Previously Opened Units: If your unit has been opened, I will evaluate it on a case-by-case basis. The bonding wires inside are delicate and can easily become damaged, and they often enter the epoxy, making repairs challenging and frequently not economically viable.
